Post by: Myroria on March 03, 2015, 06:13:04 PM
Here is a comprehensive post containing the Revolutionary Calendar, for comparison and reference. Thanks to Citizen Gulliver for compiling these images! An imgur album of them can be viewed here (http://imgur.com/a/2sxGt/layout/blog).

there are very cheap printing companies here in europe that do that whole work for very cheap. I'm pretty sure I could get that calendar printed and assembled typical calendar style for less than 20 eur through an italian website including shipping, or do it through a local company and be about the same price or less with more quality but more formatting from me. I'm pretty sure there's that kind of service in the US as cheap, if you guys know a website, post bellow.

Thank you Gulliver, for a vounderful calendar! It will be printed and hung on the wall in the office of the Mother of the Nation.
Does this mean we will still celebrate new years on 6th / 7th of Gaïôse and not on the 30th Lumidor / 1st Ventaire?

It's up to you. The Holidays Act (http://forum.taijitu.org/the-ecclesia/legislative-index/msg153004/#msg153004) commemorates Revolution Day, but I don't think anyone will throw a fit if you celebrate December 31 and January 1. ;)

You could even celebrate both, and get twice as drunk.

we don't need an excuse to get drunk any day, we already have Pha in our lives.

Revolution Day will definitely be celebrated! My question was more related to the general observances of the other nations on Taijitu. It would be nice if we all celebrated together.

Does anyone want to make a new calendar for AR 2? Given that we are still using it for Ecclesia records, it might be helpful.

Citizen Gulliver designed the calendar to be constant from year to year. For instance, 11-9-15 OS will always be Jocidi, 15 Boisaire. The only difference is that on leap years Lumidor has an extra day.

The real life holidays are also probably off in the calendar. I can produce an updated one with the appropriate days shuffled and a day added to Lumidor.

Ohhhh.... that makes sense and is convenient. I wish I had actually paid attention enough to notice that while I was updating the records.

I don't necessarily want to do so but would be willing to do so. The question for me is, should we attempt to get the election schedule to optimize activity via staggered elections or should they be clumped for one large burst of activity?

Now that I realize that calendar is the same from year to year there's no need. I like staggered elections (1 per month rather than 3 every 3 months), but we'd need to get them out of phase again.
