Title: Motion to move TNP's embassy to the bottom of the list

It's no secret that I despise everything about TNP, they are and always have been a region full of cliquey elitists with nothing much to offer us.

Their map is ugly.

Their RP is laughable with OOC injections everywhere in it.

Their Democracy is questionable by the landslide elections they have for such a huge community.

They force people out of office for asinine and alterior reasons, like ex-Justice Funkadelia and ex-Minister Lord Lore.

The list goes on, but we still ignore the issue. Why we're allied with them? I don't know. Tomb might as well be a King, and TNP is his stupid empire. Sure we can have relations with TNP, but let's not give the impression that they're our favorite embassy.

Do whatever you want, but do you really think the placement of TNP's embassy on a list will affect them in the long term?

This is nonsense.

I'm getting a little tired of this nonsense, at that.

In foreign policy terms, I'm pretty sure The North Pacific has been a consistent ally of Taijitu's. We were nearly in lockstep on the Lazarus problem, without anyone needing to do any wheeling dealing. We were naturally on pretty much the same page.

Complaints about our alliance with The North Pacific consistently bring standards of similarity in organization and purpose that only one region can meet: Taijitu itself.

To call Tomb an Emperor right after the NPA and TaiMil worked closely together in removing the Emperor(s) of the "New Lazarene Order" is kind of ridiculous. Like Taijitu, TNP has a firm belief in democratic regional governance. TNP does it differently from us, but the core value is a common one, and this matters.

Thanks for your input Eluvatar. Similarities between Taijitu and TNP aren't innocent, same with military cooperation and allegiance. It's not by chance, it's only because there is a large number of Taiji or ex-Taiji in TNP or with influence in TNP, and the same thing around.

I have to agree with Eluvatar. As much as I like making fun of TNP too, and as poisonous as their legal culture can be, they're still a hell of a lot more vibrant and democratic than a lot of the other regions I've seen and have stood by us as an ally.

How about instead the whole list just be alphabetized? It looks ugly not being alphabetized.

Absolutely the best approach.

If we would like to single out a Region that is very close to us, we could always appoint a "Doyen" to head the list.
Usually the Doyen is the senior diplomat at a station, but if we need to single out, we should do it in a positive way, I think.

To be honest there's no valid or rational reason to move TNP's forum embassy to the bottom of the list and I fail to see what doing so would achieve. Just alphabetize the list, moving no forum embassy out of order. That is my opinion on the matter.

We'd achieve an irrational moral victory over the order which people view text from top of bottom, bottom being the last thing they see, which is parallel to Oz's desire that TNP should be the last thing on our minds.

Anybody may present in the discussion reformulation that may have a higher consensus, for instance CoS's proposal for alphabetization of the list is very valid, or we could just get another vote to move TNP's embassy into a new Embassy called "Pacific" that has all the pacifics, that'd be cool too, also alphabetization so it wouldn't  be at the top of the list (I hope).

Not really bureaucracy, but the dislike for authority certainly is :P if I alphabetized the embassies I'm sure someone would object and there would be another proposal switching it back, or some similar nonsense

Just going on record agreeing with CoS that we don't need a vote for admins to alphabetize embassy forums. Administration of the forum is an OOC matter that has nothing to do with the Ecclesia.

Perhaps a Bill that would clearly state that forum layout is not an issue for the Ecclesia or officers to decide?
