Step Together

Welcome to the first issue if The Aemilian Volunteer! The official news of the Free State and true voice of the people!

A Free State has been announced! The chairman of the provisional government of the Free State of Aemilius, Robert Murphy, has declared that his government will be "heading a temporary self appointed government that will operate in the best interests of the Dysaniian people". He also claims that Aemilius will "not betray the national identity and encourage the emergence of a stronger Dysanii."

A swath of land has already been claimed by Murphy covering most of Dysanii, although this has yet to be finalized as meetings are held to determine which land areas are to be annexed by Canada. This claim has also yet to be internationally accepted. One thing Murphy has insisted is that the Free State control the Isle of Munster, with reports that he is prepared to pit the National Army against the Canadians in order to keep it.

Robert Murphy

Murphy also has the muscle to back up his claims. An Aemilian Army, known as the "National Army", has been established with an initial strength of 7,500 ex-Federal Army troops located in select areas of Dysanii, with an especially large amount on the Isle of Munster in the Great Lakes. The Aemilian Volunteer strongly suggests able bodied men to join up immediately!

Issue 2.

Be Ready

Chairman Murphy has put out a general call to the National Army to "be ready" to defend the Isle of Munster should Canada attempt to make it part of the 'Kingdom of Acadia'. Although Murphy is convinced Acadia will be sympathetic to the Free State he is eager to maintain control of the island, which houses the provisional governments base at the city of Béal na mBláth.

The National Army, which has now swelled to 10,000 men since out last issue, has been put on alert should relations with the Canadians deteriorate and the island be fought for. An estimated 2,700 members of the Aemilian Army reside on Munster, with anti-Canadian terrorist organizations also offering support should fighting break out.

Dysaniians, Unite

Chairman Murphy has hit out at claims made my Canadian news programs. After a broadcast was made about the creation of a 'Kingdom of Acadia', the report stated, 'The referendum held all over the Acadian states and the isle in Dysanii showed that over half the people want to become an independent kingdom as well as join the newly-created Pan-Canadian Federation that has sprouted up.'

Murphy has made his concerns public of the validity of these generous Canadian statistics, "I cannot believe that half a population that supported an aggressive action against Canada would join such a Federation." He also makes note of the 'support' for the Kingdom, "It is clear to see that the Canadian 'Empire' is as fake and backwards as the former Republic," and that he finds it "difficult to assume that a population of nationalistic and proud citizens would give their wholesome support for joining some useless Federation governed by an opppressive imperialist 19th Century nation." (a reference to the state control of the monarchy).

Indeed, the many Dysaniian citizens we interviewed, especially on the Isle of Munster, had little to say for the 'Kingdom of Acadia'. Many struggle with the comprehension that a Kingdom could arise without a Monarchy, and when asked many identified themselves as 'Dysaniian' and not 'Acadian'. We here at The Aemilian Volunteer must question how in touch the Canadian government are with the events occurring around them. We have received tips from various Dysaniian 'organisations' that Canadian troops are turning a blind eye to weapons runs for the right price and that since the war the actual man power employed by the Canadian Empire in the Western regions is thin; we are positive that Mr. Murphy and his government will push supporters of the Free State on the Isle of Munster in to an armed uprising with smuggled weapons, and that the National Army will be used in conjunction with this to severely weaken control over the Isle and make it the stepping stone of a Free State for the Dysaniian people - quite, Chairman Murphy assures us that an 'Acadian' state will be sympathetic to the Free State of Aemilius and if not, that any Dysaniian armed force it mounts will flock to the National Army.

Issue 4.

Aemilius

A state has finally been officially announced by Robert Murphy. He is now the first Prime Minister of the Free State of Aemilius. Béal na mBláth has been chosen as the capital city.

For the moment the territory recognized is the land comprising the Isle of Munster. However the Prime Minister assures his people that, as soon as the Valideen forces have left, the rest of the central nation will fall under the control of his government.

He has made no comment on the future of the Valhene Republic, however the National Army is still significantly increasing in size on mainland Dysanii and in Aemilius, figures now reaching 55,000 men and 3,500 officers.
