The Beginning of The Armed "Republic" of San Juarez
« on: October 16, 2014, 12:28:28 AM »
The Great and grand state of Texas faced some issues in the late 19Th century along with the secession of a large amount of the state that would soon be known as "New Texas". The Texas government faced the issue whether or not to take action head on and attack the newly seceded land.
This issue was brought to the desk of Jose Ramirez, a current commanding general in the Texan Militia, Jose chose the path of indirect yet direct attack. His plan was to have him and 1,000 highly trained soldiers enter the land and spread out until they got into the military there, from then on the men would all regroup as if just good pals, yet the men would stake out in the middle of the night and attempt to take over the military camp leaving the newly seceded land defenseless, allowing Texas to take back their land.
So, in the middle of the night on April 18,1986 Jose and his men attacked the New Texas General, "General Hakeem Swiftfoot"
The men along with Ramirez captured the General and ordered him and his army to stand down against these newly created rebels.
The General immediately followed orders calling off his navy and military from all posts leaving their country defenseless, Ramirez was reported to have been seen writing a letter to the Texas government saying that it was all clear and they were safe to come reclaim their land.
Although these weren't the plans Ramirez had all along, instead of completely killing the new lands army for treason he allowed them to live in peace if they joined him for one last battle. Of course the men agreed, so Ramirez station all of his men at forts along the border awaiting the Texas Governor to come rolling in, in his car.
Ramirez along with his 1,000 loyal soldiers were at one fort while the approximately 35,000 New Texan soldiers were stationed at others awaiting the pending attack.
When the governor arrived Ramirez and all of his 36,000 men opened fire on the governor and his soldiers he brought with him, Although Ramirez didn't kill the governor he forced him to sign a treaty stating that he would give the state of Texas to Ramirez and he could then receive 10 acres of land.
Ramirez had succeeded in his mission of taking over both Texas and the new land, now he just had to secede from the U.S.A. This would be the hard part, although in 3 quick months Ramirez had registered himself as a separate nation from the U.S with the U.N. The U.S was outraged by the secession of Texas so the government decided to just tell them that the name of the state "Texas" can not be used by outside countries. In response to all this fuss about names Ramirez simply changed his newly formed Dictator ship's name to "The Armed "Republic" of San Juarez", naming his new country after his father who had passed away just two months before the invasion of The New land and Texas.

enjoyable, but a little difficult to gauge whats going on without an opinion on the ground.

Also April 18th 1986 is two years to the day after I was born!

It's a good piece, but the biggest problem I noticed is that in Taijitu we don't have nations like the USA; I'd recommend you take a look at our map and place your nation based on that. The nation probably most similar to the US would be Novmir. Their northern provinces even seceded over slavery!
