We'll be running the new 1.6.2 build, you have to download their new browser which is much cleaner and smoother than the previous ones, thank god for that. https://minecraft.net/download

So when 1.7 comes out we shouldn't need a new map because a lot of our current map is unexplored. IF however the map is explored, then I'm ok with just waiting, however I think as of currently it's still going to be a bit of a wait.
